I started riding in 2011 when my boyfriend (now husband) and I moved to Texas. At first I hated riding. It scared me and was so frustrating being so much slower than my boyfriend. There were tears, many many tears and I seemed to ignore the fact that he has been riding bikes and motorcycles longer than I've been alive. I stuck with it though and really developed a passion for riding. Trails that used to be a challenge got easier and I got faster. Being as competitive as I am it was only a matter of time before I entered my first race. I went on to race XC for 3 more years before discovering enduro. After graduating college I decided to take 2015 and travel around the US racing in as many XC races as possible and to see how far I could go. I started in Utah racing the Fat Bike Nationals and won the Cat 1 age group. From there I went to California and raced the Kenda Cup West series. It was during my time in California that I entered my first enduro as a beginner and won the overall for every class. It was then that I knew that my skills as a rider were better suited as an enduro racer. I continued my journey to Oregon and entered in the Oregon Enduro Series and Big Mountain Enduro. This expanded my traveling to northern parts of Oregon and Colorado as well as participating in all events offered at USAC's Nationals in Mammoth Mountain, CA. I finished the season as the overall winner for the Oregon Enduro and Big Mountain Enduro sereis and the cat 1 national champion in XC and enduro. 2015 was a very successful year for me and now as I enter the Pro class I'm training harder and focusing on my weaknesses to make 2016 even more successful. I couldn't do it without the help of my sponsors All Access Racing, Fly Racing, Hutch's Bicycles, Cycle Smith Coaching, and Recharge Sport.
